Android Man, 07 Jul 2014well that's says it all. Tag Heuer this will be bloody expe... moreI don't see the correlation and how it'll end up being bloody expensive.

I'm guessing Telco's might start offering the iWatch as an extra as part of their 24-month iPhone 6 contracts.

I could see them moving a lot of units that way.

Android Man, 07 Jul 2014well that's says it all. Tag Heuer this will be bloody expe... moreAndroid Man, if they wanted to build expensive smartwatches, it would be better to hire a VP in technical manufacturing or logistics, not a sales and retail guy. Besides, Apple already have experience in good materials and precision build.

Hiring someone from the Sales and Retail in the luxury watch world, indicate that Apple value his experience and knowledge in what consumers demand in watches, in the upper end segment.

Well, that makes more sense to me anyway.

Android Man, 07 Jul 2014well that's says it all. Tag Heuer this will be bloody expe... moreMy guess is that the iWatch will be in the USD299-499 range. They may also have different prices if there is capacity difference or according to material (leather, metal strap etc).

The price itself is not entirely the issue. If the watch is very well made, and offers good solutions, then it will be worth the price. However if it is just similar to what Android Wear offers, then it will be harder to justify.

My current best smartphone at the top of my list is the Moto 360, but I do hope Apple is able to surprise us with something even better. Only time will tell.

well that's says it all. Tag Heuer this will be bloody expensive. and will not be on the same pricing structure as the Galaxy Gear. don't see the point. Nobody will want to pay over $500 or more for this type of gadget.

Shellshock, 06 Jul 2014Luxury is about a price tag yes, but is about elegancy and ... moreApple products in general are boring and gray. Very OEM-like design. Look at the massive bezels on their macbooks, especially air. And even low-budget TN panels on the air models.

Please do tell what you find elegant about their airport extreme. When I frist saw a picture of it, I thought someone hade photoshopped a joke out of Mac mini. It loos awful.

Their logo is nice, but their product are very boring in design. Not jsut their hrdware, but also GUI. Very boring and restrictive.

the luxury watch industry is where Samsung doesn't have a market share. Apple is smart to go into there to distrupt

Useless device. At least they try to make it look good. 99.99% of people have smartphone with them all the time. No need for a 1.8" screen with limited functionality. If it can replace completely the phone, than I can see a use for it; otherwise, is just another way to make money.

I was using Iphone 4 for more than 3 years and in all that period not once did it hang or have any issues . I recently bought a Sony Z2 .

The apps hang ,i need to restart the phone atleast once a day as it hangs , the built quality is seriously tacky .

People who cannot afford an iphone will keep on crying that apple is crap and so on so forth .

I cant wait for the iphone 6 .

The same is happening here people who cant make enough money are crying now that apple will make expensive watches .
