Lets put it simple..android should be for highend and wp for midrange and ios for budgets....microsoft should return to wm formula....loved that os....wp is crap compared to it....symbian was meh...old school real smartphone users know why android is better....symbian was a pseudo smart os compared to W.M. but meh....kids this days know nothing...like john snow

Butch, 08 Jul 2014WP with 512RAM is butterly smooth??? I think U need help.. ... moreIt's funny butch but I used a lumia 520 for a long time and it never froze. FYI that too has 512MB ram. having used many phones I can safely say any 512MB WP device outperforms a 512MB droid by a country mile. The whole WP architecture is built on a resource optimizing manner. Maybe your phone was defective? Or maybe you were fooled into buying some generic chinese android handset with a WP like Launcher? LOL.

I believe if Nokia wants to come back to the market of the high-end mobiles they need to make Lumias with dual boot (WP, and Stock android), which will encourage every body to switch to these type of phones as he has nothing to loss and might like the WP more than android,
all the phone users when they ask for advise on the first smart phone they get (95%) 2 answers android or Iphone.

MS is not gonna abandon WP eventually it will come to Windows9
a shapeshifting os which adapts itself to whatever device it is installed on. [Fragmentation problem solved]
now to gain the marketshare and to expand the ecosystem of microsoft services MS is going into android. [now thats a smart move to sustain longer] unlike crapberry and other OEMs who holds on to their OS.
Now the comedy in the 2016 market is Nokia start to scare the shit out of Samdung LOL

I think this could be a mistake or more or less likely a "rephrasing mistake"

If ever, my hunches would be DUAL OS/DUAL BOOT. It's not a far off idea to have 2 OSes on a single device.

Maybe the 4th Generation Lumias (54X/64X/74X/84X/94X) will begin utilizing this setup, in that way. Nokia can keep what they started with Nokia X Family, while Mucrosoft can still push their services instead of Google and on top of it, gain a chunk of the Market as both OS will be marked as a "sell" for every single device.

Much as I hate to say this and it sticks in my throat I would rather buy an iPhone and if you knew how much I hate Apple inc, you would understand that is not something I would normally even consider - are you listening MICROSOFT HQ!!!!!

You make me smile man, since when android is at higher price then Lumias? I own 1020 my friend, and with this money i could buy any cracdroid out there even, that Galaxy s5 wich is the most useless upgrade ever released. Compared with s4 and s3 i just don,t see why it even exists. So, less talk more sport.

Anonymous, 07 Jul 2014everyone who says that android is lagless. Yes if you have ... more"Yes if you have quadcore 1.5 GHz processor and at least 1GB of RAM"
SO? My SGS3 GT-i9300 (the one with 1,4GHz exynos and no LTE) has no lags, no freezes and no restarts whatsoever. And it is today considered a low-end device.

It cost about 270 euro (VAT included). While the first decent Windows Phone e.g. Lumia 925 cost 350 euro. So even today that SGSIII is great value for money.

Besides the OS isn't important, What you do with it is. And I can do more with my SGS3 than anyone with their WP device.
