- You want to take a wide angle pic of you with friends.
- You pull out camera from your pocket place it far and control with the smart watch
and thats exactly why they build it, for the scenario you talking about; nobody uses smart watch...thats dumb

Use your fkn head... It is intended to be used for example for portrait photos, from longer distance where you have to be in the front of the camera...

Did Google think this through?? Imagine the scenario:
- I am walking down street with my phone in my pocket.
- I want to take a photo.
- Rather than simply grabbing my phone, I pull back my sleeve and activate my smartwatch.
- I select the camera app.
- Everything looks dark.
- (Yes, the phone is still in my pocket).
- I fumble for my phone.
- Holding the phone uncomfortably, at an angle, in one hand, I try to snap a photo on my smartwatch with my other hand.
- Frustrated, I close the app on my smartwatch, and simply take the picture on my phone.
There go five minutes of my life I can't get back.
