I tried to take advantage of the $524 bargain, but Nokia preorder site only shows $699. Anybody knows if they have changed the price back to $699?

Don't pre-order Nokia N97 now, wait untill its available on Nokia website. They will give some discount 10 to 15%, like they give the 5800 model 10% first come out now 15%.

i think that nokia is not serious with this offer or gsm arena made a mistake , i have cheacked nokia usa in the same day that gsm put this news but the offer is 699 usd with a bloutoth headset , no mention any were for 524 usdor 445 usd any were , can some one advice

Why you have to preorder the phone, wait for untill it come out. Nokia will not let you cancel order, if you change your mind after recieved the phone and return back to Nokia, they will charge you 15% restocking fee.
By this summer many new phones will come out, you may change your mind.

For those who pre-ordered this phone, does your email order confirmation say that the status was PREORDER or BACKORDERED?? Mine said BACKORDERED, just want to make sure that does not mean they were running out of the phones for pre-order already and now they become backordered. The pre-order is only for limited quantity after all.
