If you wanna give people the perfect phone, you can earn loads from the 1st or perhaps 2nd generation, then no one will buy your phone cos it's just gonna go downhill after that.

That said a lot of them copy each other, it just happens that most of what they copy or try to be first at is all gimmicky useless junk.
Samsung's heart rate sensor - Junk.
Apple's finger print scanner - Junk
HTC metal unibody - Junk
Samsung's bloatware S-"something" features
LG's similar bloatwares
Sony's bloatware
The list goes on.
Marketing has convinced a lot of people that these things are somehow more important than say something as vital as good long battery life in all possible usage scenarios.
For their share of useless tech Apple is getting one thing right in a long time with the Sapphire coated shields. Can't say the same for anyone else in the recent years with their gimmicks that have stayed as pointless gimmicks.

Android OEMs are running out of phones to release with their 6 months product cycle. Just hold your horses, wait till iPhone 6 come out and copy and release something "big" next March.

This would be a flop of a release if there is nothing to write home about. Z2 already serves plenty as an upgrade over the Z1.

no thanks Z3 with Snapdragon 801, please Sony Xperia Z3 Compact contained Snapdragon 805 and FHD not QHD
