Initially i had problem of rebooting automatically, WiFi not connecting and lock button not working but after staring in safe mode and doing restart, all problems gone.. Now its working smoothly and better than 4.3, no battery issue at all.
To start ur phone in safe mode
Restart ur phone & press volume down key while rebooting.

Just Remove sim card and memory card, restart your phone again. It will show "Phone Updated Successfully".
It worked for me.

Its phone dialer has bug. In 20 min of ta... moreIF you enable one-handed operation> keypad in-call buttons then while calling or receiving calls it shows error: Unfortunately, com.android.phone has stopped & call ends.. by disabling one handed feature we can receive or make calls.
Kindly provide the solution on this!!

Unable to upgrade firmware after downloading it by using ota. The phone restarts itself in the middle of installation to its original4.3 version. Please help me out.

Sir I hd upgrade tmy grand2 for kitcat after I met the problem whenever start the wifi or mobile data the phone get the shutdown

Battery drain.
Its phone dialer has bug. In 20 min of talk it is eating 10% battery.
Also com.android.Phone application is crashing if you invoke it from google Now voice command.
After crash it requires cache wipe.
I have also done the factory reset.
Samsung fix this bug !!!

Hi Everyone I also facing the same issues after upgrading to Kitkat 4.4.2
for resolving issues I visited Samsung Service centre
they help me to solve this update issue
so I request to all of you visit samsung care
Now my phone is working fine :)

Guys Before updating to 4.4.2 plz backup all ur data e.g:- msg, apps, contacts, videos, pics nd den update ur phone
After update is complete go to settings >general tab> backup & reset>den click on factory data reste
I did d same after update nd den my grand2 works awesome

Hey I had the the same problem.My phone was restarting after every 2 mins. But the problem is resolved after I started my phone in SAFE mode. To enter into Safe mode - just after restarting your phonen it displays The makers name and name of the phone model just keep pressing volume down key until it shows home screen. Your phone's Down left corner will have small black strip that reads Safe Mode. Then it will display a message that phone upgraded successfully. Then see if it is running smoothly. After that you can restart your phone as you do normally. It helped me wish it'll help you all. Be ready to enjoy KITKAT. Have a good day.

I tried one more thing here.. remove one sim card and microSd card.. and restart the phone..
Then you will get the message device successfully updated.
It works properly..
Now insert sim card again and memeory card again..
It working for me Now.
I think Samsung has release this build for Grand Single sim version..
