I upgraded my Grand 2 to kitkat without any problem. However I was worried after reading so many problem posts. One thing I did was when I upgraded, I clicked on software update in settings --> About phone --> software update. It downloaded 196.80MB package and its all done. However its butter-smooth now but apart from appearence, I hardly found any advantage. But in 'active apps', free ram is increased little bit. If your downloaded tar.md5 file is good and clean, you will barely face any problem. I did it with "G7102XXUBNG4_G7102ODDBNG4_G7102DDUBNF4_HOME.tar.md5" single file using Odin 3.09.

i am using grand 2 9 months ago but now when is autobrightness enabled its screen blinks when i change menu page it blinks on page one its bright and on page 2 its dark why please help me bro

But the thing is if there is any update your device download it doesn't matter weather you have checked or or not. ;)
