IMHO, if they really want to make their OS popular, they have to start by selling this phone under 10k. If they want to just sell some pieces, they could maybe sell it at 15k, but nobody is going to buy this phone above that price with 1.4 ghz dual core processor.

AnonD-281291, 20 Jul 2014can't wait to have one, hope its under Rs17000Tbh, I'd hold off unless you're desperate for a toy to play with. The hardware is crap for the price, UI is pretty ropey compared with Meego, Sailfish remains very buggy and connectivity is still an absolute disaster area.
Oh, and unless you live in the mountainous, cloudy north of India .. it's an awful candidate for you generally, since the screen has the worst outdoor visibility of any that I've experienced. It's almost unusable.
I say this as a Jolla owner.

Join Microsoft and choose to manufacture Winphone phones only...
Just let go of your Sailfish OS and let Microsoft bother about all OS and software.

well we can blindly trust jolla beacause they are the real nokian man ....... so maybe they shuld go for it but not for android its gtng bored and the nokia is the team who makes their own hardware and software so they shuld come along with somethign dfrnt...

compare with mi3 or asus or any other phone this phone is OUTDATED software and hardware wise.
I wonder, who will purchase? fools will purchase.
with the price of jolla, you can buy 3 qty of mi3 phone which is the fastest phone up to date.
make it Rs.9000/- will think the indians about it then.
It is comedy that it costs 28,300 (approx)

It may be a good time for jolla to expand its bases as MS is kicking nokia employees out. It's much easier for ex nokians to hire ex nokians than to poach them outside!

I agree. In fact I wouldn't be surprised if what's left of Nokia and jolla merge. After getting the monies of Microsoft for old handset division. If jolla make mote up to date phone. I'm on it .
