Anonymous, 08 Jun 2009I really do wonder about those who are charged with marketi... moreI recently got on contract a storm and have been happy with it. Ive had the pleasure of owning a iphone 3g. I was a little dissapointed when i got the storm as there was no wifi, however looking back how often i used it on the iphone due to its poor battery life. What made me change to the storm was seeing the specs of the new iphone 3gs. Come on apple whats the deal with your battery life. a marginal improvement on 2g phone calls. I was charging my iphone at least 4 times a day(i'm a heavy user) with the storm its great charge it overnight and even by the evening i'm crusing on atleast half battery. Dont get me wrong Apple have mad a lovely device with great features and good touch screen but i think they need a few more years to get the hardware right. I mainly use my storm for emails and i love the way all email accounts receive message almost instantly even if they are not Push like my hotmail account. i eagly look forward to the storm 2.

I really do wonder about those who are charged with marketing at RIM. They clearly know little and do a poor job. With that iphone thing taking all the news, RIM need to keep the profile up on the Storm 2 to prevent purchasers migrating to Apple. This, of course will be the tendency anyway given the poor performance of Storm 1 and little sign that change of significance is in prospect with Storm 2. Notice how quiet it has gone of late on Storm 2?

I agree Liz, but judging from the pre-release pictures 3.2 is all we will be thrown. Rim simply don't care about customer opinion.

I really hope that blackberry do something about the camera on the storm 2! they need around 5 megapixels to keep up with other phones on the market, also wi-fi is a must.
People i know have avoided storm 1 because of the lack of wi-fi, tho others have avoided the bold due to the awful camera!
I'm thinking that we defo need something in-between to rival other makes out there.
A good camera/ video recorder is a must as is good internet and e-mail so get those features, along with crispness and speed and you'll b number one on all the top phone lists!!! :)

Re camera, the Storm 1 has a hopeless camera, washed out colours, and slow.
Firmware made the speed better. Why RIM think we should accept a 3.2 MP jobby again on Storm 2 shows they simply don't listen or care what customers think. Most other decent brands are at least on 5MP with added features. If RIM want to be seen to have an inferior product they will keep with the 3.2, if they truly want to widen the Storms appeal and care about image then they know what they should do. If they don't upgrade it it can only be company policy.

Now this phone has been leaked RIM need to get on with it, improve radically on Storm 1 including putting an up to date camera on it, and get it out to the market, working properly. Delay will see customer migration based on the pretty crappy first endeavour.
Who is biting what, following from last posting?

xqwzt, 16 May 2009I've used your beloved phone, and I hate it, esp the design... moreOh Im so sorry to hear that you disliked BB or hate it to a point. It just clearly shows that BB is not for you. The same way that iPhone is not for me or any Nokia handset.
And BTW, i didnt even suggested for people to love BB's. My original post was directed to those who hate, dislike or who are not happy with BB's and keep bashing BB's with unfair comments wherein they have never used it. To each his own. I love my BB, and you love something else, I respect that.
No haters. Spread the love.
