If I hadn't already become bored of waiting for this to become available I would buy one from the eBay sources selling it at a very small premium, I won't bother now though since OnePlus have shown a total inability to deliver on their promises.

The bamboo thing is nothing new as I had seen someone in Vietnam having his old Nokia phone covered in nice piece of wood with buttons.
