Alleged specs of Sony Xperia Z3 surface

Anonym, 23 Jul 2014Sony admitted the problem, is Sony lying too?Just for the sake of clarity, Sony admitted the issue in Xperia Z, Z1, Z2 and some versions of T.
They will repair the phone free of charge provided that:
- There is only ONE single (non-branching) crack
- There aren't any signs of a previous drop or abuse
Which is all fine and dandy, but sometimes that crack happens to "branch" when going across the screen (or the back)... and then Sony no longer covers it.

Hoping this isn't true. These specs look exactly the same as the Z2. Unless Sony fixed the glass cracking issue, but even then, it's hardly an upgrade.

Great. Another Sony 2012 Sony rebadged with the same crappy quality and meaningless buzzwords. And this from the company that absorbed one o/t most iconic names in Imaging, Minolta.
It seems to me that without Ericsson Sony's products don't account for much anymore. Their innovation is just cool-sounding names to sell hot air.

And just because you can google it does not make it factual, just means people are lying about what they were doing or did to the phone!

Given Sony is actually operating a six month refresh cycle for its top of the range, I will wait for the Z4! That, of course, assumes that this rumour is actually true which I very much doubt. Either speculative rubbish or a deliberate bum steer from Sony....! If the rumour is true, then it is an update meant for Z1 owners, not Z2!

It's strange that the Z3X is going to have better specs including the s810 chip, 6.14" QHD screen, almost bezel-less, quad-core upto 2.86ghz processor and adreno 430 gpu, with low power ddr4 ram, and 22mp camera. Therefore it is a little strange that the specs for the Z3 are so awful. By the way the Z3X is expected to be released middle of 2015.

I call bs.
This is still the Z2. Sony has come to far to settle like this. It's more than likely just bad rumors, z2 for a different region, or slightly different version.
There is no way they would release a z2.2 as the z3. Even before when they were behind they were not that bad.
Now they almost made it to the top. It will at minimum have an S805. Really hoping the upgrade the sensor. The only reason they passed using the same sensor is because they dramatically improved software. ....yet after two models, over a years use, and vast improvements the software is still way behind.

With those specs and that toyish look it will flop 100% guaranteed. The Z2 already serves the category well enough. This offers nothing absolutely nothing in terms of improvements which is exactly why this rumor looks like total BS.

May they'll radically change the design, lose the hard edged darth vader appearance, giant bezels, slippery, breakable, fingerprint prone unremoveable back cover & concentrate on real world ergonomic & UI useability & productivity rather than just keeping up with the increased specs bandwagon...
