whats the point of releasing 'new' entry level phones. Seriously, why should companies funnel millions of dollars into research and development into entry level devices. Why don't they just keep producing the same models --- 1608, 1208, 2630, 1661, 6030 ...etc . The target customers are those that are a)financially constrained b)need only basic features

Nokia always know what they are doing.
Stupidity doesn't earn a manufacturer the number 1 spot.

emerging markets do not have access to high speed internet...though 2730 is apretty sweet deal if its music quality is good

Why can't anyone understand that a phone manufacturer will go bankrupt if they make only high-end phones? Nokia has the geatest variety of phones and that is undeniable!

i like the design of the 3 new nokia phones c", kudos to the design department, they seemed to have improved a lot this past few days with the likes of e55, e52, N97, etc.. empire strikes back in the design department..
plus the fact that it also have good specs and offered at the lower price, a win win devices.

most of them guys walk around with a couple of mobiles , and most of them on a prepaid plan.
And the local culture is that the more phones you have , the more important you are.
and just ringing someone without the other answering is a very widespread usage. (and very cheap)

And is it not better to have the feature installed than to not have it at all?
