Samsung's NFC has really done it's job. I'm not a big fan of Samsung's phone design (it's changing though), but in terms of hardware, I would choose Samsung all the day.

It started in Japan in 2006 but failed to convert enough consumers to it. All phones have NFC to this day and can be used on public transport, as building access keys, etc., but it's not the breakthrough that they had hoped.

I like iOS the way it is and will be. And yes, I do own an Android phone also, it's a spare and it will remain as that for a while.
As for the NFC option - how do we know it's there? Could someone point out which component on the board is the NFC bit? NFC has been on phones since 2006, but it's take up has been very slow, even in Japan.
I like NFC, but too many standards and systems make it hard for it to really take off.

All these apple users making out as though NFC is somehow miraculously going to be "useful" now that apple might innovate it. Wake up and smell the roses, It's been useful and used for years you just wouldn't know because you have never had it. And saying apple waited until its "perfected" is crap, maybe they have only just perfected a decent size screen? The original iphone was well ahead of the times but now they are behind and people just blindly stick with them because its what they know.

Just like touch ID. it's been around, like people say, for sooooooo long already. iphone JUST implemented it and it is VERY useful.
So if NFC will be in place, I am sure Apple will think of ways that it will work out. NOT JUST PUT IT THERE LIKE SOME COMPANIES.
Don't just think with your current mind, think ahead or you will sound ignorant. Apple would never squeeze something a decade old for nothing.

For what? What can it share ? really? Absolutely nothing, it's had BT since it's inception yet it's been unable to share pics, videos or music, what really is the point of giving it NFC? Tagging to play music would be a Sony patent so Apple would be in the crap if they decided to go with that idea.
