Microsoft or Nokia.... very confusing...who has the say?

The phone should not even be released in the 1st place.

In short acquire Nokia is a very big mistake ever made by Microsoft in the history of mankind.

I do agree with you concerning Meego however , not that it was better than Android, but that it had potential to become a credible alternative.

No they shouldn't! Nokia had a MUCH better Linux-based OS called Meego/Harmattan. Which lives on in the SailFish OS which incidentally is even able to run (many) Android apps as well. Nokia could have introduced an Android compatible runtime/layer into the N9 (or derivative).

Besides for me was Symbian good enough. Fast, economical, and with a full feature-set including proper call-recording (without tampering), cloud-and local syncing, fantastic contact management, dialer with VOIP, proper file-manager, proper Bluetooth, freedom to install apps everywhere (Google!!!!), full offline navigation etc...

A lot of consumers where either tricked by the anti-symbian propaganda or to stupid to see what gem it really was. And now it's all too late.

The future is ridiculous screen resolutions with multi-cpu, multiGHz, multi-GPU systems coupled with inefficient OS's and ugly flat UI's that makes me vomit!

I want shadows, textures, lensflares, light effects, beautifull crafted multi-colour icons! Not that flat 90's drab of "material design" or "metro/modern/or-whatever-we-call-it-thise-week"

Should have went with Android long ago, Nokia would have been quite the competitor if they'd only followed suit, as it stands they're now gone. Microsoft will probably do some good things with the Lumia line up but they'll never be as good as Nokia could have been.

Shame really, a high end well built Nokia running android with an amoled screen 3GB Ram, quad 801 with the crazy camera's that nokia does would have stolen the show, i'm amazed that no one saw this coming from Nokia.
