For last six months I am hearing this. I am tired of this. Its I think a marketing stategy of Nokia/Microsoft. During every release of new set they also release a rumor. If they want to catch market its time to tell true or specific time frame to the user.
I am very much disappointed. Sorry for the comment.

Already upgraded my lumia 1520 to official wp8.1.

They should rather solve issues like "location" services having to be on constantly. Most of the functions of Cortana don't need location to work, despite that it needs to be on all the time and on most phones that almost halves the battery life. Very bad decision on the part of Microsoft. They either need to change this or completely separate functions like "quiet hours", "inner circle" or "interests" from Cortana.

Been using Lumia 925 & its a nice experience till now. I live in India & got the 8.1, the update brought some cool features my favorite one being text-flow keyboard. But I'm awaiting Cortana to be made available to the devices in India. India is a huge market for MS & the people here value Nokia as a very good brand which it is.
