J, 06 Aug 20141080P on a screen like that stupid kill offAgreed, 1080p would also up the battery drainage. To me, one the big pros of the compact: the smaller screen translates to nearly unparalleled battery life. It may not have the ppi as its big brother but it is still stellar imo. Just to give an idea, as I type I have 97% charge and estimated 1 day and 22 hours left!

Anonymous, 31 Jul 2014The good: Sony is showing renewed commitment to the compact... moreSome have asked why 64 bit is needed. The same reason you have it on desktops, so you can have more than 4gb of ram. My Z1c has 2gb. This Z3c will have 3gb. I can imagine the Z5c will have a whopping 8gb. That would be awesome! As I use my phone for more and more productivity tasks, I want it powered like my desktop.

As for wireless charging, I got the magnetic dock for my Z1c and it is great. I suppose wireless would be an upgrade but not by much. One of the great things about the compact form factor is the smaller screen means great battery life. So docking my phone at night when I'm asleep is plenty :-)

Oh I see.. it doesn't like my "less than" sign.

....off every other less-than-5" phone around.. wireless charging would be the perfect way to set Sony miles ahead. Though the magnetic charging is already a pretty good start.

The good: Sony is showing renewed commitment to the compact line after failing to issue a Z2 compact.

The bad: Not enough of an upgrade over my current Z1c. My minimum specs for my next phone is a 64 bit SoC. Guess I gotta wait for a z4 compact unless they only come in odd flavors.

Other comments: My Z1c is truly awesome. No lags whatsoever. And Sony just pushed 4.4.4. My second upgrade since it came with 4.4.1. As far as full HD goes, I am not concerned because the 342 ppi is great. The only other thing I am hoping for is a better camera.

At 4.6" this should be Full HD I guess. Then Sony can release the Z4 Supermini with same hardware but 4.0 or 4.2, 720p and width under 60mm. I'd be torn actually... though my question would still be WHERE'S THE DAMN SILVER VERSION??? :)
