Anonymous, 04 Aug 2014You're really going to encounter lag an shutdown on android... morenot here to insult you but probably you are doing something wrong. it's wrong in general comparing a 5s costing (at least) 550 euro off contract with a humble android in the 200-250 euro price segment. yes a cheap single-core or dual-core will lag but my xperia z (which apart from the ram department isports a less capable processor than your 5s) runs buttery smooth all the time.

simonh, 04 Aug 2014with the contract terms at 24 months its not suprise nobodu... moreContract length has nothing to do with the price cut

The LG G3 is a high end flagship phone.

What this has to do with is the competition with Apple iPhone 5.5" when it it released.

The $200 front end cost puts it in direct competition to BOTH the 4.7" and the 5.5" which will have the same $200 cost, ie "I might as well wait and get an iPhone"

On specs alone the LG G3 is the better phone but on Apple Iphones will just get the vote
      either iPhone or LG G3

The $100 price cut puts the LG G3 specs at the fore front of the persons mind

      LG G3 v rumored specs Iphone 6
      http://www.gsmarena.com/compare.php3?idPhone1=6294&idPhone2=6378

Whilst the specs of the Iphone have NOT yeat been leaked I have isssues in 2 areas
the PPI above 400 when ALL iPhones are that of Retina Display 326 -330 PPI

2 GHz Dual Core is high as 1.3GHZ has been the closk speed at most 1.5GHZ or even 1.7GHz

2Ghz too much in one go.

Happy Lg g3 user.. so far i had:

        0 crashes..
        0 shutdowns..
Batery is Ok i can acknowledge there is better.. i can also tell ya it beats my old sammy galaxy S with a 2430 custom battery.. so there is a lot of worst devices also...

Ppl really need to stop spreading missinformation about this device.. a friend of mine at work sold is phone 5s and bought a Lg g3 and he is happy with it

        There is no perfect platform

You're really going to encounter lag an shutdown on android phones. Im done with it. Tried Alcatel, Sony Xperia and Samsung S3 but same old same old problem. Im happy with my iPhone 5s now. Worth the price. Not going back to android anymore.

ToM, May I ask where do you get the info about LG G3 issues. Is it published in a web site site or is mouth of word?

with the contract terms at 24 months its not suprise nobodu is snapping these high end phones up,knock it back to 18 months and maybe the sales might increase as nobody is going to shell out £450+ on a phone especially when they probabaly have 12 months left on their contract from the lg g2 or samsung s4...

Probably because people have heard that G3 is plagued by problems, like the random shutdowns...and LG ignoring them.
Still wanting to buy a G3, but when everything will work as it should.
