The side is metal but the back is "still" plastic. How can they call it "Premium Device"? It even just have metal on the side not the whole body.

ThunderCrackR, 04 Aug 2014Really, not bad! Those sides are interesting! But only 720p... more720p is sharp enough on a 4.7" screen. Check out the Moto X which has 4.7" with 720p. And this Galaxy Alpha with be AMOLED which will be more vibrant. Also being at a lower resolution and AMOLED it will use less battery.
Choosing 4.7" is obviously to compete against the upcoming iPhone 6.

The design is not much different than other models. What I like is that the body is made from metal, something "fresh " from Samsung. I hope this phone will be launched in my country so I can take a look at it as well as have a feel of its metal body.

It looks pretty. I've been wanting a device like that. 720p is not much of an issue, there is no difference between S4 and S3 screens other than the new amoled things. And I hope this wont overheats up like my S4. I am writing this and my hands are sweating at the moment.

For me the design is still great and i love it! I just hope those who have negative comment with the design is not an iphone user since the iphone too have same design.Years back I had a 3Gs and sold it the time I got 4s.Happen that i also used s2 together with 4s and sold it for newer s4.In short I have been using both brands and for me I have no complain with their designs.Different individuals means different taste.Just saying...peace...

I really hop this isn't intended as a flagship. 720p screen? Really? If it's AMOLED with a pentile matrix it's going to look like shit just like the Galaxy S3's screen which was a real shocker
