I am luck to be in a country where xiaomi has started operations. I am also luck to have snatched for myself a redmi note in one of their flash sales. There is simply no better phone comparable at the price the are selling at. Xiaomi will rule what ever market the enter. Just check out India soon.

So, not only that they make crappy devices, they like them, to. Though, i don't think there is a big difference between this so called gadgets and samsing... In matter of product quality and crapdroid optimization.

Angry Mobile Nerd, 05 Aug 2014As the article states, it's most likely because of how many... moreTraditionally iPhones have worked really bad in China, with people using them with dog slow GSM/GPRIS/Edge on China Mobile, only to show off and because it's (or was) status.

Not Samsung was caught.
But was "caught" ... moreSamsung themselves admitted they paid people to post false negative review about HTC. I hope you're getting paid by Samsung to write the tripe you're spewing and are not one of the unfortunate volunteers who are brainwashed into blindly defending them.

Not Samsung was caught.
But was "caught" Taiwan firm, about HTC(Taiwan), by Taiwan intelligence. ONLY IN TAIWAN.
If you don't see the dirty plot here, you are or dumb, or you don't know about the contract between HTC and Apple to use the same "patents"
lol

Don't let to be fooled by this headline.
This is only about the last months shipping in China. NOT the actual market share. Samsung is still on the top(Apple far, far, far behind)
The menial media use the term "market share" wrong here. On purpose.

I don't know if I could believe pro-Samsung remarks in the comments section because Samsung mobile division has been repeatedly caught raising black propaganda against phone manufacturers like HTC. Samsung mobile's dirty moves really annoy me.

Why are we in the developed world even giving media attention to all these criminal companies from a criminal Communist country?
1. Chinese companies have no accountability. They lie about numbers ALL the time.
2. Chinese products steal your private info and secretly send it back to their Communist government. Xiaomi was caught doing this.
3. Like all Chinese companies, Xioami makes low quality junk. They know how to manufacture buzz by making it appear their products "sell out," when really only 10,000 units were actually sold.
4. They shamelessly copy everything about Apple. Even the CEO tries to copy Steve Jobs right down to how he dresses. The Chinese built their entire modern growth on stolen intellectual property. We shouldn't reward the Chinese for their criminal behavior.

As the article states, it's most likely because of how many cheap Hongmi phone their selling, and I have to question which demographic are buying these phones because my workplace here (in China) is dominated by Apple and Samsung phones with the odd Chinese phone here and there.
Statistics can be manipulated to say whatever you want; I bet BYD sells more cars in China than BMW too, but which one would you rather have?

In order to compete with XperiaZ2, HTC One, Lumia 930 or iPhone, Xiaomi must improve by using unibody metal casing.
Please make your device to have below size:
4.5" display
5" display
5.5" display
6" display
6.5" display
MiUI must look international which is on par like Xperia, HTC One or even ZenFone.
