Four new Nokia phones - big fish at the shores of the US

25 May, 2009
Nokia have been holding out - they have four new devices headed to the US and they are not rebrandings of old devices. This is certainly uncommon, the US getting a GSM Nokia phone before Europe does...

2,4" displays to browse Internet? You guys are going cheap on us displeased customers, huh? Keep up the good work - LGs and Samsungs with at least 3,0" displays couldn't be any happier.

I like the first one, sleek looking. Although it looks too sleek, no raised portion to slide the phone open and closed. Second phone looks too fat and clunky. Last two look like motorola phones from 5 years ago.

I do not understand why nobody is bringing out a fold phone with a decent camera! I love the formfactor, especially the nokia with the button to flip open the phone. I also believe the shape is extremely handy for taking pictures if the camera is placed on the topside of the phone (which is the case for the snapper)
But all the nokia fold phones have crappy cameras, so now Ill have to go for the 6210c. Because of a very decent 5mp camera and GPS. Even if I dont like the shape.

Looks like the "Thresher" and the "Grouper" are designed by someone else.....or AT&T might have asked them to be designed that way. They look different from the rest of the Nokias.

Nokias been quite uptil now an the next 3 months will show the others they still deserve to be No 1,the N97,N86 an 6700 out soon an with these on there way ,i am sure the sales at Nokia will really boom

geez...these Nokia's are simply BUTT-UGLY ! i'm a huge nokia fan but i am really disapointed withe how these phones look...maybe the first one is a'ok but the other 3...second one looks awfull, like a really ugly old htc (but even worse than those old models) 3rd is a chunky-monkey...realy as uglu as the moto v360 or smth like that...and the l;ast one is a sort ot moto v8/k1 copy.... :(

The Thresher when slided down is a copy of the iPhone 3G design..

The Nokia Grouper looks like actual Motorola design. Reminds me on the upcoming new Motorola ROKR W6.

All very nice but when are Nokia going to catch up with Samsung and LG and get an 8MP camera on to one of their handsets? They're 6-12 months ahead of Nokia on that front...
