Apple have given all it has to its buyers from day 1, but sammy is smart, it has the best of the techs but encashing them only slowly steadyily...this chip with lower battery consumtion and also thiner phones...sammy smart..really smart

I was surprised to see people just ignoring this fact on every Galaxy Alpha thread and blindly thrashing Samsung for using a smaller battery. Open your eyes guys!!

The new-age SoC justifies the use of a smaller battery. Considering the offline power consumption (UI, consuming stored content etc), it will be much lower than a similar 28nm AP, On the other hand cellular standby time would be unaffected or rather lowered due to a smaller battery in Alpha and a 28nm connectivity chip.

                  This chip is a beast

If Apple is known to produce the 20nm A8 why Samsung to stay behind

While not underestimating the raw processing power of these samsung phones, who designed their really aweful ugly shape? Stevie Wonder?

Just so people know the LTE modem by Intel XMM 7260 is not on-die. It's a 28nm TSMC chip that can be integrated on mainboard.
