I bought this phone and 7 days ago It performs very nicely on 1 gb ram and Octocore processor. I used to install Real racing 3 game in this phone which is also perfoms very smoothly, sound quality while calls is crystal clear and while playings songs is also too gud, its 8 & 5 MP camera is also nice with 312 ppi night photos is also looks great...
Most important things it looks awesome in white and gold I found more than 15 guys complement my phone in single slight 100 out of 100 in looks..
One things which is little disappointing is that we can use dual sim or one sim with memory card..
Its internal free space is 5.5 gb approx only..
I give 10 out of 8.5 to this phone..

HI, i purchased micromax cameo A290 last week, som pre loaded app are not working, like yatra zapper and not able to uninstall also, it shows "some error occured, try again. Tried to download from plastore, but failed.

Best in class device
I purchases dis phone two weeks back nd i m more than happy with it. The 2000 mah battery drains fast but still lasts with an entire day of normal usuage. The only drawback is if u r keen to use dual sim support. However the elegant slim looks , hd display,camera quality.d octa core processor functionality just makes it an awsum device in dis range.

huge disadvantage of this mobile is sim 2 and sd card in same slot. either u can use sim or sd card. cant use both at a time.and sim 1 is micro sim and sim 2 is nano sim.if by any chance nano sim stucks inside the slot it cant be taken out and that slot will become useless. other than this disadvantage this is a worthy one . can go for this!

I must say that this phone is owsome with respect to style, looks, camera quality and many other aspects the only drawback is its battery but it can even be solved using battery doctor... I have bought it 2 weeks ago.. And i am happy with it. Dont listen to some foolish comments. Peoples will be flat by the looks and atyle of the phone bcz i have experienced it.. BUY this PHONE ITS BETTER than canvas hd plus..

Good phone.
Back Camera - good
Front Camera - good
RAM - good
Processor - Good
Everything - good
Usable Internal Memory - 5.64 GB
Cons:
Same Slot for Memory Card or Second SIM.
Either use dual SIM or External SD Card.

dont buy dis phone i buy dis phone on 24/8/2014 and gets dead on25/8/2014 morning service center not providing DOA letter said to replace but on 6/9/2014 my phone is not in my hand ghatiyaaa service ghatiyaaaa phone never purchase mmx ever.........

I have got my micromax a290 last week only. I sincerely extend my thanks to micromax. The device is working nice. Camera (both) quality is good. No major lag. However, the battery consumption shows that a lot of battery is consumed by wi-fi whereas i have never make it on even. May be a software issue. I am happy to get it in exchange with my previous phone samsung grand, which was really a grand mistake of samsung, but never accepted by manufacturer.

The fone is awesome!
Cam quality is too good!
Howver only 350mb ram available..otherwise this is an awesome fone to go for..!
