"The display is undoubtedly the coolest part of this phone. I mean, just look at that thing. As for that missing microphone that's usually chilling up top, a Sharp representative told me they use a direct wave receiver, which actually vibrates the screen next to your ear to transmit sound. No, you don't have to turn the phone upside down to make a call."

Batata, 19 Aug 2014So would the unlocked version work with GSM like AT&T?Why not? Except some exclusive features that available only for Sprint, you can use it with another carrier without doubt.

They put the ear-piece at the bottom part, alongside with the front-camera. Although, it might be a good solution if they put something like Kyocera's Smart Sonic Receiver technology on their next bezel-less smartphones instead of traditional ear-piece.

Relatively affordable price. Maybe without harman/karbon bluetooth speaker.

                  According to The Verge:

"Talking on a phone with no bezel and no apparent earpiece is a little odd, but you hold the Aquos Crystal up to your ear in the same way you hold any other phone (no, you don't have to turn it upside-down to talk)."

So it uses bone conduction as Kyocera phones

As per my observation the earpiece at the bottom part so for that you have to flip the phone up side down to make phone calls.

"...especially how virtually inexistent three of its screen's bezels seem to be."

Inexistent? Just because it's an official English word, it doesn't mean you should use it. Try "nonexistent."

I think I know where the earpiece is, judging by the photo. The earpiece is below the display, that slit right of the "AQUOS" text. That means you'll have to turn the phone upside down when answering a call. Pretty Japanese if you ask me (Japs are sometimes kind of weird IMHO). No racism intended.
