Anonym, 23 Aug 2014Easy to explain, the "sheeple" will already have ... moreStill better then what Samsung did.

Apple provide you the choice to change battery if you want for FREE.

Samsung forced you, buy S5 to solve your S3 non upgrading issues. - Kills 2 birds with one stone.. No need to invest money to upgrade S3, at the same time resolve the bugging issue with S3 by getting users to spend money to buy S5.

HOPEFULLY when Samsung see this, they will COPY it, as free is always better, don't you agree?

AnonD-59657, 23 Aug 2014Why Apple only takes action after almost 2 years? Very s... moreEasy to explain, the "sheeple" will already have another model and the "next guy" that ends up with this used phone is ultimately *NOT* eligible for the repair (despite what the site may say, it will be refused latter with the pretext of not having a valid "Apple rules compliant" receipt).

This way they fulfill a legal obligation the cheapest way possible.

Why Apple only takes action after almost 2 years?

Very simple reason because each day Apple is loosing marketing share due to its reliability issues happened in some of the iPhone.

Apple want to improve its quality image.
