Anonymous, 03 Jun 2009you all make me laugh, i mean a lot, the apple iphone is go... moreThe N97 has a similar CPU and RAM to the two year old iPhone.

16GB is not "hardly any memory", it's double the N95 8GB and the phone doesn't bog down when it's almost full /cough N96 /cough, there are not that many phones that match it even today.

The iPhone has better hardware than the Nintendo you've only got to look at the graphics quality to see that, it's easily a match for the PSP, the object based SDK makes it extremely easy to port games from other platforms unlike all that C++ and Carbide rubbish in Nokia's SDK.

yup, iphone is not a gaming device next to N97. anyway if you want to play games, buy PSP or Nindendo.

We needed this like last year. The specs are now so underwleming with no clear USP that they shouldn't even bother launching. Just put it on shelves and save the money for actual development to bring the product to market on time. No wonder Nokia is going down the toilet.

jeet, 03 Jun 2009You are an apple iphone fan. That’s very good. But why you ... moreiPhone not a gaming device???

Maybe you should take a look at all the games now available on iPhone and check out some YouTube clips of iPhone games, the iPhone is the absolute best mobile gaming device currently available and that is indisputable.

This 97th edition of Ncrap is no match for really advenced phones like Omnia HD, HTC or the iPhone.

Nokia is emberasing himself again. Good... more and more people are turning their back on them. Maybe loosing their market share will force to start some inovation again.

'no gaming phone?' what the hell. iphone is a gaming phone. and for your concerns, n97 doesn't have hardware acceleration, too.
and just look how slugish is symbian on n97.
n97 should be out soon and not expensive before Apple announces another iphone on june! or Nokia is done!

N97: Symbian latest OS, web browser with flash support, 1500 Mhz battery, 5 MP camera, 32 GB internal memory, Great design, Great Games, and lots more
Apple iphone: Mac OS not better than symbian, no flash support, poor battery, only 16 GB memory, poor camera (no video recording), not a gaming device….
And still you are an iphone Fan. Think once more…you are just fooling yourself.

It's also the reason we have to pay so much for the hand sets cause the mobile carriers wont subsidize them when you value cheapness over functionality. If we all went out and demanded a phone like this it would cost 200 from any carrier in the US. Instead people have to pay 700 dollars for phone technology the rest of the world embraces. One day when enough people pay a US carrier will wise up and carry one of these handsets for what was it you requested 300 US dollars?

I've owned N81 8GB, N95, N95 8GB, N96, E71, 5800 XpressMusic, Nokia 8800, 6222, 6822, 6630, N-Gage QD, and many other Nokia phones and of course the iPhone. In my opinion Nokia has always been better than any others.

Its not about what the specs on paper look. Its about useability. Nokia phones are useless, a bunch of features but who uses Nokia Maps? Nobody. Who uses google maps on their iPhone, every iPhone user! Same goes for the browser. Nokia has features, but nobody uses them."

You have no proof what Nokia users use on their smartphone. But the good thing about having a real smartphone, is that we can CHOOSE what applications we want to use. I have 3 map applications and 5 internet browsers. I was just too lazy to install more. We aren't limited to the junk apps from Apple. I guess being an Apple fanboy, you are already use to the lack of choices. But we understand and won't hold it against you. Now you can see what a real smartphone can do.
