Sony Xperia Z3 gets disassembled before its official unveiling

Why oh why would Sony be using an 801 processor when their competetion i.e Samsung is moving on to 805 processors. I thought the whole point of releasing a flagship every 6 months was to stay ahead of the game not release out of date hardware with their so called new phones.

If the battery is indeed of less capacity than the Z2's, then I bet the phone will come with built-in wireless charging (incl the charger) to compensate. If true, it'll be another reason for me to get the Z3. If it'll work will my NFC ring then it'll be an automatic buy. Current owner of Nokia Lumia 1020 (hate it!).

I wonder how many will replace their Z2 with Z3 which got the same specs.
I will go for a Big no..........
I thought sony will improve a little bit but yet again this un-upgrade of Z2 shows up.

Get it Z, Z1, Z2 and now Z3. The Z1 and Z3 were made to woo those with older phones (12/13 or 13/14)and not necessarily Z2 owners, for example as well as those thinking of leaving other brands. Opinions are just that, opinions personal to you and irrelevant to everyone else. Simply go buy something else that ticks your specs box instead of posting inane opinions on here!

besides no one is forcing you to buy it, if you don't want then they don't mind.

wild_tango, 27 Aug 2014Indeed.I thought Z2 was ugly when I saw it on gsmarena. But when I saw the real thing, it was like WOW!it is a very elegant phone. When I g3 on gsmarena, I thought it is the most beautiful phone, but when u got my hands on it, it feels like a low end Alcatel phone. LOL

Too bad, Sony ditched the Z Ultra series. :( It's their wrong move to release this Z3 with minimal improvements.
If I am in control of this, I'll make a Z2 Ultra with 3gb ram & 32gb internal, 1440 x 2560 display, camera w/ led flash, 805 snapdragon, Quad core 2.5ghz, 4k video @30fps, 1080p @60fps.
