As for the ipad air, i really tried to use for sketching i gave my best shot at it,thinking that it was good for sketching and bought 3 different styluses and also the best know apps like sketbook pro, procreate, inspire pro, artrage
The apps where ok and i really liked them, but what i hated was the ipad lack of digitizer and a pixel precision stylus, so one month later i decided to sell it because it wasn`t what i wanted for sketcking and i got very disappointed and bought the Samsung galaxy note 10.1 2014 edition (SM-P605)and i couldn`t be more satisfied i got all the pixel precision and pressure sensitive stylus that i need to replicate the feel of a real pencil.
I`s like to say that i am not a samsung fanboy, I tried the ipad, but i got disappointed so i tried again with it`s rival and now i am more than satisfied with it, even if it has only the sketchbook pro.

[deleted post]Unfortunately, you will be locked down in Andriod or WP regardless of which mobile operation.
Andriod is FREE for manufacturer, but is NOT FREE for user. 99% of the Andriod phones stack with OEM version, you like it or not. Same go to iOS.
Summary Non of the OSs is FREE.

Apple makes the best designed and the best made phones, period. Sony and HTC are next. Samsung is not even in the running.
The camera on the iPhone generally has the most pleasing balance, to me. I had the S5 and returned it, because the dynamic range sucks and it blasts out bright areas. The Xperia I have now is better, but not up to Nokia's PQ, and not as balanced as the iPhone.
Apple just hired the "Camera Guy" from Nokia, so the iPhone 6 camera should be something really good, hopefully.
