29 August, 2014
The three month period ending in July also sees Android up in China thanks to local makers like Xiaomi.

Would be nice to know average selling prices, Android phones has gotten a lot cheaper over the last year and now can give decent specs for much lower price, while a year ago cheap Android devices were more or less impossible to use due to inadequate hardware.

And at the end of the day Apple still laughs the loudest on the way to the bank with higher profit than all the others combined (Note to local heroes: please do not include Samsung's and LG's profits from making TVs and washing machines this time, this is about mobile devices)

AnonD-134497, 29 Aug 2014Since iPhone 5S came last year and it's been a while so los... moreThe loss of market share is compared to the same period in 2013, when it had been a while since the iPhone 5 was introduced. In other words, that cannot be the excuse compared to the same period in 2013.

Since iPhone 5S came last year and it's been a while so losing market share was destined. It always happens at this time of the year every time. As iPhone 6 makes it appearance, numbers will be a lot more changed. Don't forget it a single phone vs hundreds of phones.

For Windows Phone.... They wasted a lot of time in Nokia-Microsoft deal and it took quite time to close. Now I can see the share might increase due to the new CEO's efforts.

Its Normal since android has a wide range of choices, apple need to make other manufacturers (China) to opt the iOS for their mid range to cheap devices
