deDeTe, 01 Sep 2014Well, excuse us, whiners.
Because we spent $600 on a pho... moreI have a Vibe Z, it works great and is updated. My Lenovo S920 which is 1.5 years old works fine, is also updated to Kitkat and is still receiving updates. The phones have no issues with reception (it's excellent and clearly better than for example Samsung or LG phones).
If you didn't get updates for K900, blame Lenovo India or whoever, in China is was updated to 4.3 atleast.
Lenovo didn't make any more phones using Intel Atom so the experiences with K900 aren't especially relevant for todays phones.

DaXiong, 01 Sep 2014There were lots of Lenovo-phones that worked fine and had l... moreWell, excuse us, whiners.
Because we spent $600 on a phone which never worked right, was buggy and was never updated. And it's barely a year old.
I gave my K900 away after three months, because it was so unreliable for making calls.
I did try the Vibe too, and it had similar issues with reception, although not as bad as the K900. But still a crappy phone. Why do you think the Vibe 2 will be much better?
Lenovo focuses on specs, not on quality. Its support sucks. When buying a Lenovo, you will save $100 compared to a good brand, but you will always have a crappy phone.

deDeTe, 01 Sep 2014I've had Lenovo K900.
I've had Apple's iPhone.
Lenovo... moreThere were lots of Lenovo-phones that worked fine and had lots of updates before and after the K900.
So the K900-whiners that come out of the woodwork for every Lenovo article is really misrepresenting all the other phones.
If you want to compare with someting, compare with the old Vibe X not the old K900.

I've had Lenovo K900.
I've had Apple's iPhone.
Lenovo is NOT Apple.
Lenovo is, despite the specs, a middling manufacturer, with poor support and update record. My K900 had poor reception, did not get updated and was buggies than a phone should be.
The iPhone just works.

I was a real big fan of Sony till its last flagship the Xperia Z2. The Z3 however doesn't make me so excited. Sony should have made successor for the Z Ultra and not for the Z2 like Samsung's strategy where they release the S flagship during the first half of the year while the Note series is for the second half of the year. Sony should stop making flagship phones every 6 mos coz the Z3 is a useless upgrade from the Z2. On the other hand, Lenovo is a very reputable company. It may be a Chinese company but it is the leader in technology when it comes to making computers. The Vibe X2 may be a great phone to watch for provided I hope that the company will make the phone expandable in memory.

AnonD-299124, 30 Aug 2014Always mentioning apple somehow is what makes these compani... moreApple are already taking Lenovo seriously if you read the articles published here you will already know that IN CHINA (so not a market to be dismissed! ) Lenovo is now 3rd highest seller of phones and in doing so pushed Apple into 4th position.
I presume by going a d day after Samsung and also day before the IFA show starts that at the IFA event both Samsung & Lenovo will have working display models on show
Apple event will be hugely covered by the media but I doubt that it will be the shock & awe of earlier presentations and won't convert or divert those who have seen the Lenovo presentation to change to the iPhone 6
Here is what is being upgraded http://www.gsmarena.com/lenovo_vibe_x_s960-5684.php
Apple are still playing catch up
