I'll wait for the iPhone 6 and compare it before I upgrade. The iPhone will surprise as it will include a pen too that should be able to challenge the note.

i definitely wont buy. I would rather go for next Nexus or upcoming moto x or z3 compact. I will never pay more than 35000rs for a phone. Its useless and lifetime is low too.

The sale of note 4 depends largely on its pricing. Samsung is notorious for reducing prices drastically. It has turned many price conscious buyers.

You can certainly see the diference from 720p to 1080p, especially in a big screen like the Note series.
But since Samsung uses the crappy pentile pixel arrangement, it still gets somewhat blurry.

AnonD-301155, 02 Sep 2014No? The GN3 was not all that much of an upgrade from the GN... moreAs a Galaxy Note II user for 11 months, I was thinking of skipping the Note 3. My decision changed when I saw the big difference in improvements of the S Pen, 32GB standard model, better speaker, IR blaster, and LTE improvements in my region. The only complaints I had with the Note 3 was the slow camera focus and 20% lesser battery stamina since it runs on LTE band.

I'm not into the screen resolution be more dense as I do not see the significant difference of the 720p to a 1080p. Yes, it a tiny bit better, but unnecessary. It's BS people actually telling us they "notice" the pixels of a letter with the 720p. Note 4's supposed even higher pixel count is another BS that will be useless and draws more power.

I'll see the actual Note 4 till I can make another decision. Right now, I don't see anything that is impressive enough for me to upgrade.

Who gives a rip about Russia. They better knock this release out of the park with a flexble curved or 3 sided display. An internal hardware bump with the same look as the Note 3 won't cut it now. If I wanted a LG G3 I would get one Sammy.

No? The GN3 was not all that much of an upgrade from the GN2.
The camera improved a little, processor just a bit and the screen went up to a "mere" 1080p haha.

The jump from the GN3 to GN4 is much larger, QHD screen, 805/new exnos processor, 4gb ram and waterproofing most likely. They can't improve phones that much more. Only things that can be worked on are better cameras and battery life. Screens have now reached their peak, and processors are always improving.

Note 4 comes at very crucial time for Samsung. As usual there wont be any serious changes in the design.
Among android phablets , note has no competition so far and expecting the same this time also.

But samsung can screw it big time by over pricing it or by attack from bigger iPhones

I don't think that the GN4 will be a big upgrade on the GN3. The screen of the GN3 is already great and the performance is fine. The biggest upgrades are probably build quality and the camera.

                            That said, i will be upgrading my GN3 the a GN4 :-)

remember samsung if the note 4 doesnt have the ip rating 10% of samsung fans will go for the sony xperia z3 or even worse consider the iphone 6... which sucks considering how much samsung has already lost to its other competition. me personally no ip rating no sale!
