If MSoft allows to install apps from sources other than the WP market without having a developer account, then it would be good. Also I want to install apps from SD (offline) on WP please

Extremely disappointed by the Lumia 1020 being left out of this update... I understand not being able to capture 4K video on the dual-core processor, but why not include a rapid photo mode by switching to a lower MP mode or something

These are the last two lines of the article.. After reading your reply I too was confused so checked again.. Anyways thanks again but what is your opinion!? Should I buy L1020 or Sony qx100 attachable lens? Have you compared camera quality of L1020 vs L1520?

I was thinking to get the factory unlocked international version of L1020.. But now I have to think twice... So what do you think should I go for Sony qx100 attachable lens? The Microsoft has got no plans to adopt and support all the Nokia Lumia models. They are only going with the successful flagship Lumia models. So I think their negligence has got something to do with that.
Oh Boy, pathetic it is when you want to talk about Nokia Lumia 1020. The only phone to taste success and failure at the same time. for its 41 MPX lucrative camera and its fit for nothing 2000 MaH non removable battery.

and so they says Windows Phone eco-system do not have fragmentations because MSFT controls the hardware and stuffs.

Seems to be now the situation is almost the same as android, with devices not getting new updates, either due to barely 1 year old 'aging' hardware (L1020) or manufacturers not releasing or supporting Windows Phone 8.1 (just look at Nokia Lumia Icon. No Cyan update still)

Android Nexus is really the line to go within all OSes to receive updates, both OS and features.
