I have a Lenovo P770 for about 2 years. Just great phone! Very good battery, it has fall several times and never broken. In two years, 10 reboots maybe? Its acceptable. I will change it from one of the new phones from Lenovo Vibe X2 or Z2. Im european and if i can get the same specs on a phone that is much cheaper with the quality of Lenovo P770 why not? I will try Lenovo again :)

DaXiong, 05 Sep 2014Even if you pay $800 you can have a phone that has issues, ... moreDude, do you work for Lenovo or something?

Not true. I've had three Samsungs and have an Xperia now, and have never had the number of problems I had with the Lenovo.

The K-900 was close to being back on custom WM6 ROMs. It was barely usable for making calls.

So, no, I would not touch Lenovo, if there are other choices.

Bobo, 04 Sep 2014Of course it's relevant. I have also tried the Vibe, which ... moreEven if you pay $800 you can have a phone that has issues, the only difference is that you paid more.

And yes, the K900 in India experience is VERY misleading talking about Lenovo China phones in 2014. Check vibeui.com and come back and claim that Lenovo doesn't update their phones...

The Vibe Z (and many new and old Lenovo phones like Vibe X, S820, S920) get new stable updates every TWO WEEKS, has no issues with reception and never reboots.

Now, if we talk budget phones from Sony or Samsung, THERE you have pure rubbish and reboots... Of course, lots of their high-end models also have issues, like S4 with 50% defective batteries and screen problems or Z2 where the person you call can't hear what you say because the audio quality is so bad (and yes some peopled replaced their phones 3-4 times and still had the problem).

Lenovo packs specs, but the overall quality is poor and not up to the standards of the better brands.
Yes, it's cheaper. But if it provides poor user experience for the life of the product, it's better to spend another $100 and at least have a good phone, even if the specs are not as great on paper.

I would stay away from Lenovo, regardless of the price.

But as they say, you get what you paid for.

I've had one of their flagship and got burned by poor reception, bugs, reboots and Lenovo never updated it.

Cheap is rarely a good deal.

AnonD-197026, 04 Sep 2014Honest question, but do people actually buy these phones? In India and China like countries its the price that matters above anything. If a phone offers the same specs as a Samung or Sony at half the price then why shld they spent more? That's also the reason iPhones don't sell well here in India they are just too pricey for anyone to get them.
This is bcos unlike US and European countries there is no such thing as carrier locking or contractors and we have to shell out the full price of the phone when buying it.

The Desire 820 is a much better phone the Snapdragon 410's gpu (Adreno 306) is a huge piece of flaming crap compared to the Adreno 405 on the Desire.
