I saw it yesterday in the Samsung store in London being sold for £500+... That's over 600€.

AnonD-112130, 13 Sep 2014I almost bought it today. Arrgghh the no sd card put me off... more350 pounds ( 440 euro) is not great but OK for this device. Anything higher is just too expensive. I like design and thin body, but battery life is questionable and definitely far behind of newest models. Again - I'm perfectly sure that Samsung could easily fit in 2100-2200 mAh battery.

Only supporters of scandalous companies would ever buy this thing. It again is a shameless rip off of the iPhone 5s' chamfered edges/design. Steve Jobs would immediately take scamsung to court.
Samsung choose their own death when they choose to copy Apple from A-Z. It may have paid initially but Karma is real. We all know it. It is only a matter of time before samesung becomes a Nokia/Dell

I'm perfectly sure that Samsung was capable to fit 2100 - 2200 battery into Alpha body but decided not to to it... May be in next iteration - Alpha II they will do so for another 500 Euro out of your pocket...
Also difference between Z3 Compact and Alpha battery capacity is around 30%. It can't justify x2 less standby time for Alpha... In terms of battery life Alpha is compatible with Z1 Compact which means that Alpha is 1 generation behind newest models.
Also, hey Samsung, there is FM radio..? Apple doesn't do it but use your own logic...

This Alpha angular egdes are very uncomfortable to hold just like the Iphone5s, 6 .... truly smart buyers don't go for a brand name but value over money which only the Z3 Compact can give that it put to shame the Alpha and Iphone s battery life.

The S4, S4 Mini, S5, S5 Mini because if it PREMIUM plastic body simply will not persuade them to jump ship and switch to Android.
The Alpha maintains a relatively artificial high price signifying "premium"
The Alpha is superior and moderately cheaper than the iPhone6 which for all intents' & purposes is a physically bigger and tweaked iPhone5S.
If you remove Apple pay so NFC (paying via a phone) nothing has been added
