AnonD-41413, 16 Sep 2014You just said my mind!My sentiments as well. If they do, less users would stop migrating to iOS. It's Samsung laggy, cpu intensive skin that ruins the Android experience for them.

AnonD-13678, 15 Sep 2014Still won't sell as well as iP6+ though.....for people who always say samsung, in this case, the note 4 wont sell as many as the iphone 6+...it wont sell as many because there is only two new iphones a year, while samsung has over a dozen a year...and there are over a 100 of new android phones a year from over a dozen of android oems...compared to apples only 2 iphone. if you're talking overall worldwide sales, samsung outsells apple by a 2 to 1 ratio, and that includes competition from the dozens of other android oems.

when you have over a 100 of android choices to choose from annually vs only two from apple, its obvious that the iphone sales will be solid because theirs no other ios oems to compete against apple...and do you honestly believe that if there were over a dozen of ios oems competiting against apple, that apple will be as dominant against other ios oems the way samsung is against the other android oems?

so tests show that the 1440p screen on the note 4 uses 40% less power than the 1080p screens on the HTC one and the Sony Z2. where is the outcry about the QHD screen now

interesting that the tests found that the Galaxy Note 4's screen was found to be 14% more power efficient than its predecessor's and is as much as 40% less power hungry than 1080p panels used by the HTC One and Sony Xperia Z2

this seems to have quietened the QHD haters LOL :-)

Anonymous, 16 Sep 2014You're wrong. Many people complaining about burn-in issues ... moreI have had all 3 notes and have been on the GN3 for about 10 months of heavy use. I have just tested it for signs of burn in and can't see any at all.

I'm not saying that it wont start showing up after 2 or 3 years but its not evident at this stage. Samsung doubled the size of the blue pixels a year or so ago to combat this issue i think.

For all the smarties claiming fake and what not based on experiences with older models, here's a hint:

Samsung took notice of criticism regarding their displays and calibrations, improved both with every new iteration and were confident enough to send the first ready models to Displaymate to verify if they indeed improved on previous flaws.

Lo and behond, they did and this is where they stand now, whether you like it or not.

Those who noticed the introduction of the different display modes, first seen on the S2 but with improved calibration in every follow up version after that, must have realized that Samsung was looking into ways to improve the viewing experience to a broader public back then already.

While in production it's not perfectly accurate it's very accurate combined with even lighting unlike LCD with bright spots best in contrast and blacks plus accurate colors and one of the best white marks make it most definitely overall best. And that's less reflectance and better in sunlight.
Plus able to be darker when you need it at night to go lower.

Plus what's your point aside from lying? LCD'S are over saturated. With fake whites, fake blacks, low contrast, in even light with bight spots, more reflective, more overall power consuming, and more space consuming.

Anonymous, 15 Sep 2014Not true. Galaxy s1/s2/ 2x note 1's/ galaxy s3/galaxy s4 + ... moreYou're wrong. Many people complaining about burn-in issues on Galaxy phones. If you reduce the brightness to low, it extends the lifespan of Amoled and makes burn in less noticable, but there is no way to avoid burn in. For example game HUDs, statusbar, toolbars etc. are static images which burn in more quickly. Even if you avoid all static images, the screen degrades unevenly.

This means that the display can either be over saturated or natural or other.

Below is a link to a test on the GN4 BASIC MODE which shows the colours to be really accurate. This backs up DisplayMates test findings.

The best thing to do when it comes to displays is to look and a large number of display reviews to get a overall non-biased opinion and better yet test the display and compare with other phones at mobile retailers
