Why are the widgets so massive on the touchwiz look at the weather icon it takes over ¼ of the screen that is way to big the widgets need to be reduced in size to the same size as the ones on SPB mobile shell 3.

We want proper reduced sized Widgets Now, or the option to reduce the size.

Anonymous, 15 Jun 2009Yep..just googled,it seems samsung SDI is the owner of the ... moreTrue, though there seems to be widespread misconception regarding the term 'invention'. Sony didn't invent OLED. There are many players who have contributed to OLED's development. Kodak and Sanyo should be named first among them. Yes, credit should be given to Sony for coming up with first OLED TV. But that's about it. Thus "Sony invented OLED"--is a wrong statement.

            Here is a OLED timeline:

Yep..just googled,it seems samsung SDI is the owner of the most AMOLED patents..grabs almost 80% as the AMOLED supplier..
But yes, sony invented the oled but sony move to plasma technology while sammy leads their RnD to LCD (Both TFT,TFD,and OLED)..

And the time answer it..LCD wins n popular..Plasma failed to success then in 2003 sony called samsung to joint S-LCD (located on samsung facility south korea)..production 100% made by sammy,100% sammy employee, and sony bought each lcd panels with low price...

In reallity fro SE only the X2 can compare with Omnia Pro. But finnaly the X2 will be a great dissapointment for SE. Samsung is the Captain in mobile phones.

Omnia Pro is 10 times better than X1. SE guys, you must see the reality. 3.5inches and AMOLED screen of Omnia Pro wins the 3.2inches and TFT screen of X1. Also 5Mpixels camera of Omnia Pro seem a monster against the pour 3.2mpixels of X1. The battery of Omnia Pro would be also better. Finally 1GB Rom and 8GB (at least) internal memory plus the CPU in 800Mhz simply kill the bad X1.

                          Just to clarify certain things:

Sony and Samsung SDI have different focus when it comes to OLED. Samsung is addressing the mobile cellphone market, while Sony is targeting future AMOLED TVs.

To date, Samsung is the only company making AMOLEDs for mobile phones. Taiwan-based CMEL, a subsidiary of Chi Mei Optoelectronics, is the only other company mass-producing AMOLEDs, but the displays have yet to launch in an end product.

Phone companies in Japan are using AMOLED displays made by Samsung SDI, and Nokia also offers a phone that uses the company's displays. So next time you see a AMOLED display from SE or Nokia or lg, it could be made by Samsung SDI not Sony. lets be realistic. cheers!
