The entire Android ecosystem is years behind Apple's. iPhone 6 and 6+ launched on all four US carriers on the same date at the same time with all colors and storage options. Note 4 launch on only two US carriers a week apart and Note Edge is no where to be seen. All iPhones receive update on the same date and who know which Notes will get Android L first and which might not be updated at all.

At least Google is learning from Apple to release developer betas so apps actually work with the new Android version unlike older Androids.

I thought they would say "Sorry we can't update S5 to Android L because RAM is not enough." Just like they did with S3. They said 1 GB RAM is not enough for KitKat but they released phones with 512 MB RAM qith KitKat.

I am scared! Samsung's awful TouchWiz on top of Android L, hmm. I beg you Sammy, please do some extensive amount of testing before releasing L for either phones. Cause I've experienced what the mess they did with S4 upgrading it from JB to KK, oh, that horror!
