But i thought apple had best build quality and that aluminium is better than plastic. Oh wait my plastic samsung doesn't bend. Should i return it? Maybe it's faulty.

AnonD-53686, 24 Sep 2014Lol....made in China using "premium" bendable mat... moreNothing to do with 'made in china' and everything to do with Apple management's philosophy of telling their engineers, and the OEMs engineers to go to hell because they want the device to LOOK LIKE THIS AND BE THIS THIN AND COST THIS LITTLE. Engineers: Ok, but it'll bend. Apple management: we don't care. Exactly the same situation as Jobs / management insisting on the 'novel' aerial design in the 3, which their engineers informed them would cause big problems with reception, but they insisted because they wanted it thin, cheap and pretty. Same issue as them cutting corners with most of the laptops they ever produced, making them really thin but having really poor cooling systems and thermal paste, so they overheat.
