The phone is definitely overpriced by some 8000 rupees. Moto got it slightly wrong while pricing the phone.
The specs are nice and reviews worldwide are fantastic. I waited for this device but will have to skip for now.

Please do some research on internet to know who will give such configuration phones less than this price. You will come to know there are many players around to kill flagship phones with better configuration.

you say Moto x+1 for 34... moreits one year old phone dude Its camera is on par with the nexus 5.
Amoled is anytime better than LCD in terms of the colour saturation.
Its battery life is again better than nexus.
So the 34k is justified

After a long wait for the moto x+1, I am totally disappointed with the pricing of moto x Gen2; I never expected such a pricing from motorola; it may be due to the fact that it is being gulped by Ch... Len.. dragon.

raj, 25 Sep 2014you out of your mind or somthing?? you say Moto x+1 for 34... moreExperia z3 launched in india. Same 5.2 inch, same 801 processor. Old design same as z, z1, z2. Price 52k. Enjoy..pls buy this. 34k is too low for u I think. And by the way nexus is SD 800 processor not 801.

you say Moto x+1 for 34000 rs is justified?? with its pathetic 13 megapixel camera and 5.2 inches oversharp messed up display its not worth the money it is going for and, more disappointing when you will find that google nexux 5 is available on amazon for under 26000 rs with the same specifications and amazing looks..

It may be over priced but i think the launch price is OK, it's not very aggressive but it is somewhat justified considering this:
1. Research and implementation of hardware, design, computing system, super smooth software and features like moto voice, moto display, moto assist etc.
2. advertisement (costs huge)
3. raising money for future research works
4. Making room for offering discounts on special occasions
5. If we keep price in mind no other company offers this top notch specs and build quality at this price.
6. Phone costs 32000 inr with and effective value with offers from flipcart is about 30000(considering emi+recharge offer)
7. the price is almost same as the price in usa(when nexus 5 was launched it was priced about 6K higher than usa price and this happens with almost all companies like samsung, htc, apple, sony)
8. it costs hefty 420 GBP in UK(prices in uk and india for other mobile phones are almost same considering taxes etc., but not with motorola)
9. Don't compare these with Mi3 and OPO because they are High end phones but there are no service centres and also there are issues with hardware and software also, OPO is still better than Mi3)
Some cons are
1. 16 GB is not enough for indian market(cloud storage needs internet and high speed internet is too costly in india.)
2. People are saying camera is not that amazing.
At present I am not buying this phone because:
1. I hav my moto g in good condition and is OK for my use.
2. I will wait for offers during festive seasons
3. wait for new launches
4. Wait for responses from XDA community
5. And definitely for some exchange offers/price cut.

If you compare it with the Nexus 5 when it launched it costed 29k.
This phone has better battery life than nexus 5, a better processor, the camera's are somewhat similar Nexus 5 has OIS and Moto x has 4k, the features of Moto x which anytime better rather than not having them in Nexus 5, a nice metal frame. If you see then the 3k is justified.
