Qualcomm made the move to shader model 5 which enables new D3D3 feature levels (11_0+), in OpenGL terms that translates into GLSL4.3 which natively brings OpenGL ES3.1 and theoretically OpenGL4.3+ on the Adreno 400 series, bumping the shader and feature level/GLSL also allowed Qualcomm to introduce geometry and tessellation shaders along with a whole bunch of GL desktop extensions along with ASTC compression which are mandated by Android Extension Pack (AEP).
The old and ancient Adreno 300 series are at best comparable to DX9-grade desktop GPUs from last decade with their rather inferior shader architecture, reason for which they won't support ES3.1 or even AEP. This effectively puts the Adreno 400 series on par with ARM's midgard Mali GPUs which already support ES3.1, those GPUs will fully benefit from Android L's graphical improvement while the rest of the Adreno 300 and Mali-4xx series will be left behind due to shader and hardware limitations.

I believe that the 64 bit Exynos version with his Mali T760 gpu it's a lot superior to the Snapdragon 805 variant, possibly superior to the MTK 6595 chipset.

As I said before, there is not much difference between Adreno 330 and 430, its because of Qualcomm's method.
They pushing out first weak version for checking performance then they release 430, thats why everyone finds amazing when x30 model comes.
Bad choice, very very bad choice for Samsung, I don't understand how they done this mistake.
They must choosed SnapDragon 810 which is 64 bit...
You make so beautiful and powerful device but with average hi-end processor...
I had Note 1-2-3 but no way to 4th version.
And for Note 4 buyers or planners, it is pointless to get it because when Android L they can't enjoy first 64 bit Android OS... (Except exynos version)
Its better to wait for Galaxy S6...

Should have been more than 50000 as this is antutu v5.1.even one plus one gets 46000 in antutu v5.but it can be understood as the note 4 is running a qhd display.

JAMICA, 25 Sep 2014so the exynos version is armv7 not armv8 and doesn't suppor... moreThe Exynos versions of the 2 phablets are 64 bit, not 32 bit. The Exynos 5433 it has 2 cpus of 64 bit, 4 cores Arm Cortex A57 at 1.9GHz and 4 cores Arm Cortex A53 at 1.3GHz.

i expected more. Meizu MX4 (and all future cheap phones with MTK6595) will be stronger than that. They are already passing 50k easily.

Antutu scores have changed yet again. My unrooted nexus 5 just got 40,500 which now seems to be the average for my phone. I used to get minimum of 18,000 and max of 30,000 but now I get minimum 39,000 and max 42,000. So really going by this the snapdragon 805 isn't really that advanced.

veru good 2 know. I suspected that the snapdragon variety would be slower but this clearly is not the case.,,, however, what evryone realy wants 2 know is how it fairs against the iphone 6. How could you not include that info in your article?
