I didn't know there was such as thing an iPhone factory. News to me. Last I heard, apple contracted the iphone production with foxconn who has the most production power on the planet by far. Foxconn's clients include, htc, Sony, Samsung, Nokia, Panasonic, Asus, the list goes on. I am sad to hear that someone died.

Not apple having the Iphones for sale on Oct 9. They couldn't do anything about it, because of issues with the Chinese government. Oct 9 is a considered a victory.

Anonymous, 28 Sep 2014Not 2 years ago. Try 2 weeks ago. Samsung trade-ins TRIPLED... moreYou're delusional, if you read tge article it does not mention what'st phone is being traded in, it could be some phone right at the end of the contract

Trade in help reduce the high price of the most expensive iPhone ever

The other link re iPhones selling @ $1500 in China are "rich" people who want to show off that they have an iPhone6

The iPhone6 is not like a concert paying a high price for admittance

Why would you pay double when in a 2 weeks you would get it anyway

I don't expect the iPhone6 to achieve the ssme sales as the iPhone5S due to the specifications being the same

Apple are losing market share and are 4th in China.

Xiaomi are the number 1 smartphone seller and their phones have much higher specs and cost half as much.

Following Xiaomi is Samsung and then Lenovo, then Apple.

The alternatives cost less and have have better specs. China appears to be more discerning and price wil be a factor.

                          1. Apple missed the October National Holiday. I imagine they would have very much liked to launch today or tomorrow (Sept 29-30) before the country goes shopping for a week. The Note 4 is rolling out from today so Samsung will steal sales purely from an availability perspective.

                          2. It will likely still sell out because it's the phone everyone is talking about here. Given how many people already have phablets, the 6+ will likely be in higher demand.

However, for some reason, Android users just can't seem to leave iPhone users alone.

You may not know it, but Bendgate is a very old issue, and on many phones:

                                      http://www.cultofmac.com/297404/get-bent-shocking-history-bent-smartphones/

It makes for a great story, but apart from the few complaints in the beginning (which I suspect had ulterior motives), how come the issue is not persisting? 10 million phones were sold, why are more and more not getting bent?

The trolls should try harder, or buy more phones to keep bending at least to keep up the news, but the fact is, its just a trumped up issue, just like at every iPhone launch.
