And lol even if Samsung releases first it won't be an update most people will be looking forward to considering the laggy fugly bloated UI.

Hello people's buy Samsung because of touchwiz which more functional than any others. Yes agree that its slow compare to original Google stock android but its worth. Samsung need to make it flat ui for smooth transition. Thats it

I want to design UI for samsung.pity on those who are so qualified and got degree from elite colleges but 50 % of this UI looks crap,the color on Notification panel looks like it has gone bankrupt,the icons on settings panel looks like we are looking at the drawing book of a small kid,Samsung homescreen will never change upto eternity now,My files app is so boring that i will select shutdown option instead of selecting my Files.
Even IOS is far better than Touchwiz now because I never use widget because Battery Life will decrease.

With a battery that mediocre and a screen so washed out, I wonder how it even lasts a day for heavy users. But well, it doesn't. I totally love my S5 and its gorgeous screen is in a league of its own.
I and most of the people would go for a beefier battery / better screen / better chipset any day instead of latest stock android, which is as boring as it gets. That's only my personal opinion.

great video, but i dont see any difference to KitKat. love my S5, and are happy with it. So not going to be fussed about android L.

samsungboy, 03 Oct 2014Where are you haters? :) Samsung already developing android... moreMy LG Nexus-5 has been running Android L preview since the first week of July..I guess it doesn't count considering Nexus devices are always first to get the latest OS versions and are the only real Android devices on the planet..The rest are just overbloated/spec'd rubbish that pray they get the latest Android flavor..

Samsung, don't be naughty, throw out trash called toucwiz.
Look youtube speed comparisons, 1 year old Nexus 5 easily beats iPhone 6 in application load speed. But more powerful Galaxy S5 obviously loses the battle. Same OS, more powerful hardware. Then what is the problem? Yeah, Touchwiz.

Skeuomorphism tries to mimic real world objects (with textures, shadows, 3D etc.) and was considered cool back in the day because it allowed companies to show off the great processing power of their products.
But these days, basically any entry level chip can do this; so it's considered an eye sore and everyone's removing it.

Samsung makes some good phones but their UI looks terrible, right from the old days to the latest Android L.

Even L hasn't officially released yet and Samsung (or the testers) has already published something like this, not to mention these are features that already exist in other smartphone. Other brands mentioned too that their smartphones will get L also. Just a matter of time, no? I thought there is a better way in getting feedback, compared to post this thing and read every comment like this all the way.
Though but still what Samsung did here is worth some credits in catching up other gadgets. At first, I'm quite curious but now I think I'd better see the final release than just incomplete version like this.

Fuuuuggggly. They should just do what Motorola is doing and go with a near stock experience. Who buys Samsung for TouchWiz? People just by Samsung phones because they always have the top specs at the time and are loaded with the most hardware features.
