Yes, this is something they need. They need money for R&D and to be able to produce and innovate on new products. But just as an investment, don't think HTC will ever sell itself. Especially to a company in mainland China.

AnonD-73981, 06 Oct 2014Well. Sounds like sweet music to me. I just had an Alcate... moreThey don't compare to the likes of the S5 and HTC M8 though do they m8? Not saying they're crap but in all fairness they'll never be better than the big two android phones. Fair prices though.

Stay on your own HTC, just give people what they want, you've got the OS, you've got the design, give a bigger battery, bigger internal storage, a better camera, better screen and keep the removable storage on. It's not rocket science.

Well. Sounds like sweet music to me. I just had an Alcatel IDOL X and have to say that this is great phone. Can imagine combination of the best of both worlds.

Not going to fly. HTC is Taiwan's most famous brand and the island's isolationist government won’t let it be sold to mainland Chinese.
