HTC One (M8 EYE) quietly goes on sale in China

It's called the M8 Eye experience on the website, so I take it that it's just software packed thing. They released the 4.4.4 update for other M8 versions. No point in boosting just the camera. No one would buy it.

I feel like been fooled by HTC I buy M8 (4up) 6month only now they came out M8 (13mp) can you HTC opt for me to upgrade my M8 (4up) to 13 mp)? #%^*%^#%#

I used the one x for a year, then gave it to my brother and he used it for a year, now my mother uses it.. Still in absolute mint condition n we just don't wanna sell it.. I got the m7 after that, seeing my phone even my dad got the m7.. Used it for a year, thn just recently my dad got the m8 n after seeing it I got mine 2 days back.. I loveeee htc n can't think of any other brand to purchase.. In between these purchases, I hv bought n sold in no time the s4, note2, Xperia z and oppo find 7.. But now so used to the fluid performance of my HTC that I can't switch brands..

HTC should have made the M8 Eye with the following changes in addition to the camera:
1. 3gb of ram!
2. Home buttons on the bezel, not the screen!!
3. A bigger battery!!!
If they made those changes the phone would be perfect. Looks like the nexus will be the top phone this year.

Finally HTC realizes their mistake in focusing in adequate pixel size but compromising pixel count thus compromising photo's fine detail and overall quality. All aspects should have been taken care with for a best performing camera.
Lets wait how it performs with other best performing smartphones' camera.

My Uncle has M8.The problem is high cost and low service center network.But Desire 816 is a hit here in Maharashtra.

8 ultra pixel might have been better than a cheap 13 mp cam.

What annoys me is that all that had to do for the M8 is double the pixel to 8MB Ultra-Pixel camera. Apple have shown that a good lens with 8MB can be great even when compared to 13MB, 16MB or 20MB. I still have an M7 and my Samsung Galaxy S4 and iPhone 5S owning friends always talk about how good the camera on my phone is compared to theirs with low light photos. The great low light performance is its UPS so keeping that with additional pixels would have been a winner.
I'm hoping the M8 Eye comes to UK as my contract is up so I can upgrade. Thinking of jumping to the iPhone 6 as I was not happy with the M8 having the same camera as the M7 and even losing the OIS. Don't known if I can hold out 6 more months for the M9.

Why quietly! I honestly think that whoever is in charge of HTC marketing is intentionally trying to lead them to bankruptcy, or he secretly works for some other brand lol

Hi Few things HTC needs to do to be the best in the market and the phones would be better then Apple and samsung.
Pros of HTC phone.
Good user Interface,
No Lags,
Awesome Sound.
Good design.
Cons are.
1) Provide a bigger battery, just providing smaller battery and software to increase the time in that battery. why not provide the software and plus increase the battery size.
2) Provide a better camera, your ultra pixel was good, however provide a higher resolution to it.. you guys stuck to 4UP , why not provide 13UP.. whats harm with that..
3) Rather than onscreen buttons. provide the buttons on the bezels... why waste the screen...
if you improve on these three things , you would be number 1.... Take my feedback.

AnonD-15589, 10 Oct 2014The HTC's "Ultra Pixel" cameras -as I understood... moreI will tell u why this is not possible...each pixel of an ultrapixel camera is four times as large as a normal pixel...so the clear black part of the cam is the sensor and the larger it is the more the pixels it can hold...so it can hold either 4million ultrapixels or 13 million pixels...bcoz the area to be filled in is same...so to create a 13 ultrapixel camera...the camera would be roughly a large circle..of diameter about an inch which would look ugly as hell...though technically that would produce the best pics in the world...

hi HTC , its good that you are shifting from UP to mega pixel, however hope you have better sensors to capture good picture quality.. cause the new phones HTC desire 816 and E8 doesnt has good quality .
