The phone just came out. Did you really expect that all apps be optimized for the bigger screen that fast? People will find any reason to down talk this product. Point is it works, and works week. Design may not be all that nice, but hold one in your hand and you'll feel how well built it is, despite the "bend gate" bs which we all know won't happen under normal circumstances.

AnonD-303126, 12 Oct 2014I wonder where people get this impression that iOS does not... moreI am using note 3 and LG G2 as well, G2 is perfectly fine for me, i hardly experienced lags on G2, but on Note 3 started lagging big time after 4 to 5 month of usage which was same the case all the Samsung mobile which i have used S2, s3 , note 1,2 & 3 . There were even situations where i was unable to accept the incoming calls where i need to swipe 2 to 3 times for the phone to respond. Most noticeable lag was the keypad, while typing i can feel the vibrations but the charectors appears after a delay which is quite annoying when you wanna type a content fast. You need to clear the ram or to use 3rd party apps to fix these issue for some extend. These kinds of lags are noticeably in iphones and let me know how these are covered with animations which you are talking about. I want to try windows mobile, been hearing windows mobiles are lag free too, never used a windows based mobile, gonna get one soon.

Dododo, 13 Oct 2014Maybe from first-hand experience? iOS on the whole lags ... moreAnimations is a problem in iOS, the device remains unresponsive to input while doing animations and transitions, i think they need to speed them up so we dont have to wait so long before we can actually do something. Part of the problem can be fixed in settings by checking "reduce Motion" but it is not a complete fix.

iOS on the whole lags noticeably less than Android. This is a fact.

The lag in Android is not a deal-braker, not since I had a GS3. But it is still there at times. I've had it, even if not often, both on the Z2and the S5.

You say that iOS uses clever animations to cover it, but even if this is the case, most people would call it attention to detail.

AnonD-303126, 12 Oct 2014I wonder where people get this impression that iOS does not... moreIt doesn't conceal anything. It just use animations during loading times, which Androis has plenty of too. Remember that the A8 has by far the most capable single core performance, and its dual core CPU is up there with the s805. And that it's so much better optimized to the software makes things even better. The iPhone IS faster than any Android, that's just the way it is. That it uses animations to make loading times seem more fluid is one thing, but it still does the loading faster than any Android phone. Android is a king when it comes to stutters as well. Take any Samsung phone, new or old, and, and press the home button. It has an oh so noticeable stutter, everywhere.

First of all, it prioritizes the UI thread which means it can't really do two things at once. Lags are concealed by clever animations.

My Nexus 4 is chic a bloc with apps and not a single lag. I have seen the iPhone 6+, its ugly design with that protruding camera ring and huge bezel. The apps I tested are hardly optimised for the big screen. Not impressed at all.

Just brought iphone 6 two days back , oh man, im just loving it. Using note 3 and LG G2 as primary mobile though. Brought the 128 GB version and are already loaded with tones of apps , MP3 and videos. The phone just fluid as ever.. Awesome job apple. Some of the apps are outstanding. The amount of apps which i have downloaded considering its 128 GB version, if i load that much to any android device even the LG G2 which is my favorite android mobile , sure the phone gonna lags forever. This is were ios is superior. Rather having a phone loads gimmicks , better to have a phone which works smooth and fine . As off now, really impressed with iphone 6,

Well of course a two year old Galaxy S3 will lag, it's old. My iPhone 6 lags like crazy when I have any it on for a while with a few apps open. I think it would have benefited to have 2gb of ram. I bet the 6s with have 2gb.
