AnonD-92143, 18 Oct 2014The guy has his reasons. It has been more than a year since... morePersonally I've always preferred ADT, which I think it still works much better (read reliably) than Android Studio.

Having also coded for iOS, I can tell the thing I miss the most is the smoothness of "Story Board".
But that is just about it.

Yes, it does feel "hackish" but it works. The gap between Java-alike and Objective-C (and the whole Mac idiosyncrasy) pretty much makes up for that.

It's just too bad that ADT makes it so much harder to integrate with Google services than Android Studio, but oh well... at least I got to know in some detail how those services actually work and connect to my apps (they really should address this in ADT, rather than just "killing it" with Android Studio).

So HTC said that it would deliver 5.0 to its flagships within 90 days. Does that mean it will be out by mid-Jan?

Android L the biggest jump on android
And if u can see they said its just a developer preview version so it has some bugs that's why they didn't released it to other android devices.
Android L will be available for almost 60% from the android devices so cheer up

[deleted post]The guy has his reasons. It has been more than a year since Android Studio was released into the wild, and yet it is a bunch mess of crashes when building with Gradle, or freezes the IDE (and I have 16GB or RAM on Linux, so not that). Yeah yeah, it's beta, but so what when Eclipse/ANT is even worse in productivity? The best tool is a beta tool. For a system that has been for 6-7 years in the market.

It feels like a hackish project thrown together. I'm not talking about the system. L is awesome, great, beautiful. I'm talking about the development tools.

I'm not leaving Android, but he is right. Things are not polished.

Does any one know how to enable or get heads up notifications to work? It's not working for me.
Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks

[deleted post]Or maybe you're dumb for doing things the hard way, and making less money doing it because iOS users pay and Android users download and install the .apk.
