Google Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL pass through NCC a month before launch

Ivan, 03 September 2018

The Google Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL cleared the FCC a few days ago and have now have passed through the NCC as well. This is a formality a device needs to go through before going on sale and the fact that Google's already going through it suggests that the market launch will come very shortly after its announcement.

At this point there are few things that haven't leaked about the pair of Pixel 3 phones. A Pixel 3 XL goes on camera every day now. The purported date for the Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL's announcement has been set for October 9 by which time we expect a heap of other leaks.

The Google Pixel 3 XL will be the more interesting of the pair. It's expected to pack a huge 6.71-inch AMOLED display of 1440x2960px resolution, a notch housing an 8MP selfie camera and a dedicated face scanner, a Snapdragon 845 chipset with 4GB of RAM and a 3,430mAh battery.

The Pixel 3 on the other hand may have a much smaller 5.4-inch AMOLED screen without a notch and a smaller 3,000mAh battery.

That's the sad part.

It has a huge notch to match the huge display too.
