The Lava Yuva 5G is coming on May 30 with a Unisoc T750

A few days ago Lava started teasing the Yuva 5G, which will have a 50MP camera. Today the company revealed more about the device, including the launch date – May 30 (that’s Thursday). As the name suggests, the this is a 5G phone and it is targeted at the younger audience as Lava tries to woo Gen Z.

The 5G connectivity is courtesy of the Unisoc T750 chipset, as revealed by today’s tweet (below). This is a 6nm chipset with two Cortex-A76 cores (2.0GHz) and six A55 cores (1.8GHz), plus a Mali-G57 MC2 GPU. It is similar to, say, a Dimensity 6100+, though with the CPU and GPU running at lower clocks than the MediaTek chip.

As you may have guessed from the 50MP camera teaser, the Lava Yuva 5G will focus on photography, at least as much as it is possible on a budget. There is a second lens on the back, though its function is unclear. On the front, there is an 8MP selfie camera inside a punch hole.

This will be the first 5G-capable Yuva phone, which is Lava’s affordable series. Previously, there have been 5G models in the Blaze, Agni and Storm series, all of which have relied on various Dimensity chips.

The most recent entry in the Yuva series is the Lava Yuva 3 with a 4G-only Unisoc T606 chip and a 13MP rear + 5MP front camera setup, so a much more basic device than the upcoming 5G model. To be fair, the Yuva 3 launched at ₹6,800 ($82), so basic specs are to be expected.

Snapdragon 480 would have been a better chip cuz it's old and has lowest price for 5G but Companies look for money and not for Guarantee.

No it's not, mediatek is only good for those who can't afford a snapdragon and okay to compromise with the things their device can do
