The Realme GT 6 is now official, marking the GT series return to global markets at an event in Milan, Italy. It's a feature-packed flagship killer and the first Realme GT phone to sell globally in more than year.

The phone is built around what the Realme calls Hyper Display. It's a 6.78-inch 1264x2780px AMOLED panel with 120Hz refresh rate and a bonkers 6,000 nits of peak brightness, which the company says is the brightest on a phone yet. There's a sheet of Gorilla Glass Victus 2 on top of it for protection.

Ticking inside is the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 that's all the rage these days, coupled with 12GB or 16GB of RAM. The GPU is an Adreno 715, enabling a solid gaming experience. There's also a healthy helping of AI as is the norm these days. Realme calls it NextAI and it can do AI Night Vision for video, AI Smart Removal to remove distractions in your photos and AI Smart Loop to suggest apps based on your screen's content and your actions.

The Realme GT 6 packs an ample 5,500mAh battery with rapid 120W charging. The company claims it can go from 1% to 50% in just 10 min and all the way to 100% in 26 min. The battery should also retain at least 80% of its capacity after 1,600 charge cycles, which is over four years of daily charging.

The Realme GT 6 has a 26mm wide angle 50 MP camera with a 1/1.4" Sony-LYT808 sensor and f/1.7 lens, OIS and PDAF, and a 47mm f/2.0 telephoto unit with a 1/2.8" 50MP sensor. The third camera on the back is an 8MP 16mm f/2.2 ultrawide unit without AF.

The front has a 32MP 1/2.74" sensor with a wide 22mm f/2.5 lens and fixed focus.

Realme GT 6 runs Android 14 at launch and will receive 4 years of Android upgrades and security patches, going all the way to Android 18.

It's usual market segmentation nonsense, just like virtual proximity sensor on A55 while their competitors have physical one.

I have that phone as well, along with my others and that ultrawide, albeit kinda low-res it is very useful because of AF.
