Samsung Galaxy A06 passes through the FCC with 5,000 mAh battery

Vlad, 01 July 2024

Last week the upcoming Samsung Galaxy A06 was spotted in the Geekbench database with the MediaTek Helio G85 SoC at the helm, which unfortunately is the same one employed by its predecessor, the Galaxy A05.

Now the Galaxy A06 has been certified for sale by the FCC, and this process has revealed its battery capacity. It is rated at 4,855 mAh, which means the advertised typical value will be 5,000 mAh. Once again, this is identical to what the A05 offers.

The FCC has also revealed that the Galaxy A06 has dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and 4G LTE - no 5G here of course, since the chipset doesn't support it.

The Galaxy A06 measures 167.3 x 77.31 mm in height and width. That makes it ever so slightly less tall and less wide than the A05, so we finally have our first difference between the two. No thickness number has been outed so far.

These are all the details we have right now, but since the A06 is currently doing the certifications dance, surely more information about it should come out soon, so stay tuned.

On second thoughts would have been useful if it had a snapdragon 695 in it!
