Xiaomi Mix Fold 4 image leaks

Vlad, 02 July 2024

The Xiaomi Mix Fold 4 will be the new thinnest foldable on the market when it arrives, according to a rumor from May, presumably taking the crown from the Honor Magic V3 which is launching next week.

Today an official-looking image leaked showing the Mix Fold 4's back, in a version with fake leather (there may be others using glass, we're not sure). Do note that this was labeled as a work in progress, so some aspects may change before now and the phone's launch.

The phone has four rear cameras as you can see, which is the same number as its predecessor, but the camera island is arranged differently.

The source of this leak has confirmed that the Mix Fold 4 will use Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC, and will be under 10mm thick. It will also get a 50 MP main camera, an IPx8 rating for water resistance, and a 5,000 mAh battery or larger.

According to previous leaks, the main camera will have OIS and 1/1.55" sensor size. It will be joined by a 60 MP 1/2.8" 2x telephoto with the OmniVision OV60A sensor, a 12 MP ultrawide, and a 10 MP periscope telephoto with 5x optical zoom. Its battery will support 67W wired charging as per a recent certification.

Past rumors claimed the Mix Fold 2 would launch alongside the Mix Flip, Xiaomi's first entry into the market for the other style of foldable, sometime in the third quarter of this year - a quarter which started on July 1 and ends on September 30. One specific rumor actually mentioned a launch in July, so let's wait and see what happens.
